It was an interesting bookclub discussion. One person thought it was sad, but several of us thought it focused on second chances. I liked the strength of the characters. It took me about 50 pages to really get hooked on this book - give it a chance.
Very interesting and informative story about athletics at the top professional level. Several in my bookclub did not love this book as much as I did, but did participate in an interesting discussion.
A brilliant character study. No real action, so it was a bit long and slow for me. I liked the book more after our book club discussion than I did going in.
Fun book with qwerky characters. I liked how the characters gained insight and changed.
