My Reviews
The History of Love: A Novel by Nicole Krauss
Confusing, Interesting, Beautiful
distressed soul ruled by obsessionDidn't like mind of protagonist. Obsession rampant in characters. Ending did not atone for foregoing rantings.
Entire book depressing.
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
Informative, Adventurous, Insightful
Congo versus worldCharacters very alive and well-delineated. I learned many things I hadn't known. Well-written, absorbing. Good enough to read more of her writing.
Digging to America: A Novel by Anne Tyler
Insightful, Interesting, Dramatic
Should be called Digging IN AmericaWould not recommend this book at all. Bitsy is a sterotype. No one seems to realize what it IS to be an American and how we are all different. Premise isn't realistic.
