Too self centered to be enjoyed fully.
It provided excellent discussion points. All of us could identify with characteristics of at least one woman. The experiment wasn't really about the necklace but how it changed their lives. At our book club meeting we all brought a necklace and it's story to "show and tell." Great fun.
An amazing story that does turn out the way you think it should. As a nurse I thought I would be aware of the adjustments the subject makes but I was so wrong. It make you look at being sighted as even more amazing.
Overall sad because of the family's situation but glimmers of hope and fun as the father reworked the scenarios to entertain the family.
Too many characters early on without building them to help remember why they are important. I liked the business references.
I really liked how the story moved along until the last part. That part seemed too contrived to tie up the end.
A heartwarming as well as informative story. Light read.
A bit long and tedious for awhile but it improves greatly. Characters are very real and complex. Well written and satisfying at the end.
Great psychological insight into an unfanthomable situation. Even though the situation was the same for years the response to the changes was fascinating.
Probably the best book I've read in the past 10 years. It was extremely well written. The story was intersting and inspiring. Regardless of your interest in medicine there was something in the book for everybody. I highly recommend it.
Intriguing story but very believable, especially in this day and age. How it affected the family was realistic.
Beautiful description of an ethical dilemma as well as a family love story.
Beautiful and informative animal story and life among them.
