The story and concept of a young child being diagnosed with schizophrenia was interesting. We didn't like the father's attitude. We felt it was "all about him". He was a little of a drama queen. We felt that he has some undiagnosed mental illness besides the depression he discusses. Very frustrated at their parenting.

This book was voted the best book we read by our book club. We've been together for three years. It's so wonderful to learn about history by reading historical fiction.
