I found this book pretty slow to start. I personally don't usually enjoy first person narratives that jump characters and points in time, but this one grew on me. Once the characters and the central mystery are established, it moves much more quickly. As a book club selection, it spawns some great conversation and it seems to be a crowd pleaser, so it's a good choice.
