Learning about the Orphan Train movement in the USA during all those years was quite eye-opening! It's an interesting study between the Children's Aid Society of yesteryear and the Child Protective Assoc. of today.
Many sub-plots make for an interesting read. Some occurrences seem far-fetched, yet everything comes together in the end. Brilliant one-liners, bordering on the hilarious; many chapter endings hold you spellbound for a minute. Enjoyable novel!
Very unique writing style.....building suspense and interest in every section with summary character dialogue at the end of certain chapters. Makes the reader want to continue reading in order to know the ultimate end of the story!
