My Reviews
McEwan shows, through the several cases that are described, the biases and prejudices that affect how children are treated/raised. This book also gives us a look at the British judicial system
Best book I've read in a long time. Lots to talk about.
I did feel cheated when several characters turned out to be ghosts/spirits, not live beings. I thought this was a device used by the author to cover for unresolved issues.
Infromative story of how some of our scientific research really happens, and how black people are not regarded as people!
Inspiring story of one man's striving to achieve success and escape from an impoverished life in Appalachia. He then devotes his life to improving opportunities for others in poverty.
