Mockingbird: A Portrait of Harper Lee by Charles J. Shields
Boring, Poorly Written, Informative
Good for Book Club DiscussionsI am from Alabama, graduated from the Univ. of AL and have been to Monroeville, so I found it very interesting to see how little things had changed from the time Nelle was growing up to the time I was in each of those places.
Our Book Club learned a great deal about her relationship with Capote and were amazed at how two childhood friends from a small, rural town could both end up such world renown writers.
