My Reviews
Many of us felt the main character was somewhat unappealing and the storyline was a little far fetched. In all fairness one member thought it was gripping and liked it . There was not a lot to discuss about this book.
Our group is comprised of several Faith traditions including people who prefer not to belong to any organized religious group. We agreed this book helped us examine some stereotypes and taught us all a little about other organized religions. We agreed many of the worlds differences could benefit from person to person discussions of faith. This book portrayed just such discussions between a Christian, a Muslimand a Jew. Everyone in our group felt they got something out of this read.
There was a lot to take in when reading this book. Characters were well developed and we spent a lot of time discussing them all and discerning what is "Ordinary Grace".
