Timothy Egan is an amazing writer

If you have enjoyed Timothy Egan's previous book, you will like this one too. It is a fascinating story about an Irishman who comes to New York City, fights in the Civil War, and goes to Montana.
I would recommend this book to any history lover.

Well written, difficult material

This was a very good book and provided lots of good discussion. It was difficult to read for many members, because the subject matter was dark.
It's well written and some sections were highlighted to discuss during the meeting.
