My Reviews

Adventurous, Dramatic, Interesting

Loved every page! Characters were complex and real. Excellent storytelling between two periods.

The Break by Katherena Vermette

Beautiful, Confusing, Dramatic

I really liked this book but the number of characters and their respective roles in the story and how they related to the main situation that occurs is a bit complex and sometimes confusing. Author did a good job of representing the different perspectives and I did enjoy this book. A very easy read the story flowed! Recommended!

The Nightingale: A Novel by Kristin Hannah

Dramatic, Informative, Inspiring

I couldn’t put this book down. Superbly written. A very accurate picture of the horrifying events of WW2 in occupied France. Highly recommend

Loved it! A real page turner

I absolutely loved this book. You can practically feel what it is like for the main character. The end was a bit dramatic but great twists throughout.
Highly recommend

The Slap: A Novel by Christos Tsiolkas

Poorly Written, Pointless, Adventurous

It was very poorly written. Worst book I’ve read all year
Author supplements lack of story line with way too much sex and almost pornographic content. Very disgusted by this book tho the premise was interesting per the overview on the back cover. That was the best part of the whole thing - the back cover. If I could rate this 0 I woukd

The Great Alone: A Novel by Kristin Hannah

Adventurous, Dramatic, Addictive

I didn’t like this one as much as her first. I felt a lot of the scenes were unrealistic. Approaching the end of the book and it seemed that she was just trying to finish it to get it completed for the publisher. It seemed to end too perfectly after all the turmoil.
