My Reviews
Didn't love it, and didn't hate it. The premise of it sounded much better than it actually was.
Enjoyed this read, but didn't feel a connection to any one character. If I would have gotten a deeper connection with one of the characters, I would rated this book higher.
Great book that transports you to Jackson, Mississippi in the middle of the Civil Rights Movement. Very well written and very enjoyable.
I felt this book lacked the depth it could have if it were written better. There were times when I really enjoyed the book, and times when was bored senselss.
Was surprised at the end because I thought the book was going in a different direction.
Loved this look at the lives of best friends and their ups and downs, and really hit close to home and reminded me of my grandma at the end.
Murder mystery -- didn't guess who the killer was, but did know the "how."
A tale of sisters, secrets and shorthand!
Enjoyed this historical fiction. Great descriptive writer, and still not sure if I'm 100% who the painter is!!!!
Too history textbookish.
Not as good as Da Vinci Code, and was disappointed with the ending.
Love it when an author can keep me guessing!
Had fun reading this book, but never really felt drawn into the book to make me feel like I was there. Although, after the book club discussion, I'll have to say my opinion of the book was raised higher. We had a fun, wonderful discussion.
Our book club discussed Little Bee HEATEDLY for hours! There were so many different points to discuss and such a broad spectrum for the discussions to go in. I believe we had a great meeting regarding this book.
A beauifully written heart wrenching story about a family's tragedy. Cried multiple times while reading this.
We were split on this book, some loved it, some hated it, some were in the middle. Sometimes it was a bit frustrating and sometimes funny.
Exciting story of a mission in World War II completed by a group of women spies. Fascinating!
This book had a great start, but kind of lost me towards the end. Felt like some of the intriguing parts were too neatly and quickly wrapped up, with not many \\\"ah-ha\\\" moments.
On another note, the author is awesome! Reached out to her through Facebook because we did have a lot of fun for this book club meeting and we tied the book into the experience in many ways. Would love to meet her at a book signing some day.
Too many stories wrapped into one book. Lost track with all the time hopping. I think if there were less story lines, I would have liked this book better.
