My Reviews
I met Lucy Grealy in rehab. She apparently committed suicide two months later. When I found out about this book, I had to read it. It's just such a tragic story. I would not recommend this for a book club though because I don't think there is enough for discussion.
Our group enjoyed this book!
This was not a literary read by any means (as compared to say our last month's pick "Let The Great World Spin"), but it made for a lively discussion. We had a big turnout but they were all white women! It would've been nice to have had some African Americans present to add to the discussion. Overall, I would recommend it for book clubs mostly because of the subject matter.
