The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement by Eliyahu M. Goldratt, Jeff Cox

Brilliant, Informative, Adventurous

The book has influenced me from age 12. It has continued to influence my career selection throughout my professional journey so far. Also to one extent my personal journey. Significance of using common sense to solve problems at hand has been proven by this book with subtlety. Various aspects critical to our satisfaction from everyday life like mindfulness, passion, perseverance, ideology alignment, conducive culture and the sense of achievement and fulfillment, are very well reflected in the novel’s story. The energy in the book is inspiring and infectious. Most inevitably, the book reinforces the power in my personal strength of being pragmatic and values I can render to my society with my strength.

It’s an amazing, inspiring book! The book reinforces the society’s coldness to introverts and personal people. The satire on Seattle and MS from a Seattlellite’s eye is fun to read and refreshing. Genius and crazy goes hand in hand, though the conviction reflected in Bernadette’s personality is awe-inspiring and energizing.

Follows narrative path set by The goal. Brings the analogy of constraints theory closer to IT/software development world.
