Loved the book and the characters
This was a great read--lots of laughter and lots of surprises to keep the reader entertained.
This was a riveting book--hard to put down. It made for great discussion at our book club get-together.
This book was really hard to read--so disjointed--it didn't flow like a good book. There were some humorous stories and we appreciated the author's honesty, but it wasn't a book we would recommend to anyone else, except maybe a Pastor.
This book was a good read and made for a fun discussion at our book club.
I really enjoyed the book and the characters.
Our book club really enjoyed Lisa See's first book Snow Flower and the Secret Fan so we were really looking forward to reading Peony in Love. I found it disappointing as so much of the book dealt in the afterlife.
Really liked the characters and the storyline in this book. Felt sorry for the Japanese and what we put them through during this time.
This book was a real disappointment. I felt like Lorna let down her readers in a big way. This book could have been alot better without the shock value sex and language she used.
This was an awesome book--his writing is so wonderful. It surely gives you a new appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy here in the USA!
This was a wonderful book! The Grandma is an amazing woman, and the relationship between her and her Granddaughter was really unique.
Our book club has been reading the series of the Ladies #1 Detective Agency. I liked this book, but it wasn't one of my favorites
This book was amazing--Gregg Mortenson is such a selfless man and so inspiring in what one man can do when he makes his mind up. Definitely a must read!
We love Billie Lett's books and this one didnt' disappoint us. You got right into the characters lives and hoped for the outcome to be good.
A fun, light Christmas read
Our group really liked this book--we love to read about other cultures and this one was so enjoyable.
I enjoyed this book. It had alot more quilting information than I needed to know, but it did make me want to learn how to quilt. The storyline was good and had some surprises.
I enjoyed this book as I've always wanted to learn more about the Amish. I wish there was more substance to the book, but I liked it none the less.
This book was written in a really different style, genuine and sad but with a happy ending.
I really enjoyed this book, although I have to say at times the book is downright depressing with all the things this family has to endure.
Our book club has been reading these books ever since the first one came out and we just love them.
Our group loved this book--it's a perfect book for the Christmas season and we all agreed it would make a great Christmas movie!
This book was a wonderful story about a high altitude mining town and the friendships that bonds the women together, especially the friendship between an 86 year old woman and a 17 year old friend.
I just loved this book. Such a different concept reading thru the eyes of a dog. There was such a good plot too, it kept surprising you with the twists and turns.
Most of the gals in our book club didn't even finish this book as its so hard to read. So wordy!
This book was so disappointing and so unbelievable. We picked it as our Christmas book and there wasn't much about Christmas at all.
Hard to believe that James Patterson would put his name on this book!
This was a very well written and well researched book about a subject that we don't often think about if we don't have anybody in the armed forces. We really enjoyed the book--it was just so sad.
I liked the book and I thought it got better as the story went on. I did think the author made it longer than it should have been and I HATED the ending!
Loved the story, loved the glimpse into life in Alaska
I thought this book was great--a very different story line--you just kept rooting for the underdog \\\\\\\"Truly\\\\\\\" to have life go her way
Loved this book and the characters and the glimpse into the way the world \\\"used to be\\\"!
The book started out with a bang and then fizzled out from there.
A wonderful little book about the true meaning of Christmas!
I just truly did not like this book. The storyline was so confusing it was hard to read.
our group just loves this series. It\\\'s such a nice wholesome read in an otherwise crazy world.
What this man went thru and survived is incredible--a must read.
Our book club really enjoyed this book and a glimpse into WW1
This is the most unusual book I have ever read, but I really enjoyed it. The author did an incredible job.
A nice read for Christmas time
This book was so confusing and hard to read. No plat and hated the ending.
Our Book Club really enjoyed this story and the colorful characters. Brings you back in time to a life we're not accustomed to.
I really enjoyed the book
