The Lost Book of the Grail: A Novel by Charlie Lovett

Interesting, Adventurous, Beautiful

I really enjoyed the plot of this book. I found the romantic line to be completely unnecessary and cliche. I wish the action had started a little earlier in the book, The build up was very slow. I thoroughly enjoyed the historical perspective although I struggled with the constant back-and-forth between current time and past time.

Barracoon: The Story of the Last by Zora Neale Hurston

Interesting, Informative, Beautiful

This was a very interesting read. I learned a lot that I didnâ??t already know about slavery and African slave culture versus American born slave culture. The descriptions of life in Africa were also very interesting. And a lot about the communities that they built postCivil War. It was very sad, and hard to read. But worth it.

Not That I Could Tell: A Novel by Jessica Strawser

Beautiful, Optimistic, Interesting

This is the first “domestic thriller“that I have read. I was not convinced by the reactions and the character motivations. Some of the book was interesting.
