We all disliked Sara immensely! Thinking that she could just have a fling with a happily married man with 3 adorable children, for just a little while. But in the long run almost destroyed this fun family by thinking she was in love with Nicholas and wanting him for herself. She was just too young and didn't care about anybody but herself. We loved Malinche, but she was a bit scatterbrained! But we saw her also as a true beauty, very smart and talented and devoted to her family, even though she could of gone back to Trace in a second. Some of us thought she should have. And how didn't she know that her husband was having an affair?! Nicholas was a jerk throughout the affair, thinking of just one thing! We also loved Kit and his devotion to Malinche. We were all wishing we had a Kit in our lives! We loved how the daughters played both parents. One of our favorite parts was when Malinche threw up on Sara's couch!. The end was predictable though. We all agreed that we need a fun R-Rated book like this to read sometime, in between those serious ones!

My mother told me that I had to read this book. I then selected it for my book club. Everyone loved it. You not only learned something about leprosy, but of a family's faith in one another!

The book started out kind of slow. But it had so many twist and turns, by the end none of us could put in down! A great ending!
