Firstly, this is not a book I would have selected for myself
I thought it was a great story to tell and at times it was difficult to read and imagine children so young suffering like this. But the Claire and Clementine’s strength was truly inspiring. I had hoped for a more happy ending and closure with the parents who also must have endured the terrible pain of having to choose to send their children away to keep them alive!

Really enjoyed reading this book though sad was inspiring to hear how Lydia and her 8 year old son persevered after such trauma.

Boring slow and unconvincing

The best book so far since I joined the book club! Enjoyed the read and makes you wonder what memories you would just as soon forget! Loved the Alice and Nick love story!
