My Reviews

Inspiring, Interesting, Insightful
Nice story, but I didn't feel the characters were fully developed.

Netherland: A Novel by Joseph O'Neill

Difficult, Unconvincing, Pointless
Poor Hans, a lost soul in NYC!

I enjoyed this book, particularly the wonderful NYC details, I could almost feel myself there. 9/11 affected and changed our lives forever, but we have all survived. Hans did too.

The Cradle: A Novel by Patrick Somerville

Unconvincing, Slow, Boring
Somerville is a crafty writer, every page is a beautiful piece

Matthew, a most wonderful husband, is given the task of finding his wife's long lost baby cradle. They're expecting their first baby and Marissa must have that cradle. He accepts only because he loves her, and goes out on a journey of self-discovery and love. He brings her back much more than a cradle. I loved this novel, I will loook for Somerville's next!
