My Reviews
The book was a joy to read, very up lifting.
This is an easy book to read, filled with warm memories of the 70's and growing up in Indiana. There are some graghic descriptions of farm life so weak stomachs may not enjoy this book. This was choosen by my book club to read and frankly I would not have read it otherwise but that is what book clubs are all about.
What a wonderful book. One of my most favorite books our Club has read.
I would not recommend this book, I forced myself to finish the book because we were discussing it for book club otherwise I would have only read the first 50 pages. The subject matter had potential to be a really good book but the author did not develop the characters, pages and pages of pointless information were included but left out vital information that left me shaking my head.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very likeable and makes you think about how difficult daily what life was during WWII. I want to go visit Guernsey and make friends with the locals!!!
