The town of Savanna as a character and the stories about the inhabitants were better than the details of the murder/trail. The amount of quirk in this book would alarm you.
Well written, well investigated, well done. Loved the dark journey Michelle took me on around the neighborhoods I lived in. A deep dive into a decades long search for a monster she didn’t live long enough to see caught.
Ann Rule is the best at true crime writing, she covers the parts that matter, in this special case, she knew Ted Bundy before he was famous, she has insights of how it felt to work beside Ted and how it felt to find out what he did after he was caught. She also explores how someone like him had even herself fooled even with a background in criminal justice.
