My Reviews
Read the book and just saw the movie. They did a pretty good job but the book was much better. From the beginning when they get the puppy but don't see the male dog !!!!!!!!!!!
Imagining the mess in the house and the table being pulled through Mizer Park was wonderful.
Liked the fact that a childrens book has also been written.
You laugh and cry. My daughters Rhodesian Ridgeback has some of the same qualities. She flunked doggie school!!!!
Would be a good change for some of the heavier books that clubs seem to think they have to read.
It was a deightful book. Loved the characters. And I never knew about Guernsey or its involvement in the war. Our book club, except for l member, enjoyed it tremendously.
good read! kept your interest to see what was going to happen
twists!
Very disappointing after reading Sarahs Key which I liked a lot. This was something that Danielle Steel should have written.
A lot of it is letters written to her dead husband. About streets in Paris being torn down for big avenues. Just ok.
Sarahs Secret was a good book. The 2nd and 3rd were just ok.
It was interesting. Of course I wanted to see what would happen. Really don't see it as being a good book club discussion. My husband liked it a lot.
Other than wanting to know what happens to our heroine and what really happpened to Grey, the book is worthless trash about very kinky sex. Will I read the others? Probably to continue the story but will read very quickly by skipping over "The Red Room". Other than people talking about it, I can't imagine book clubs reading and discussing it. Truly is trash!
Sorry! Must be compared to Loving Frank about Frank Lloyd Wright and his wife, mistress and his life and The Paris Wife doesn't even begin to be as good. So, I would recommend skipping The Paris Wife and reading Loving Frank. Great for book club discussion!
Interesting story about a very strong and brave woman. Takes place in the 1800's in Key West area. Boats wrecked on the shoals of the Keys that were carrying goods as well as slaves. I reviewed it for Book Browse and would not recommend it for book club. Is a nice read but---------------------
