My Reviews

The Meaning of Wife by Anne Kingston

I chose number 3 because it was a controversial topic, and therefore good for discussion.

I did not choose 4 or 5 because I did not enjoy the book. It had such a liberal slant to it, and basically made me feel horrible and unloved for choosing to be a wife. I felt like a dupe. What had I gotten myself into?

I'm sure the facts are accurate, but the reality of wife-hood is not quite that way.

It would be fun to discuss this at book club, though - as other wives and mommies will have lots of different opinions on the book, what it is like to be married, and what the history of marriage means to us as wives today.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this selection.
