Great Escape by Kati Marton
An amazing read of historical significance
A story of the unthinkable treatment of Jewish people in the 30s and their escape to America to become some of the most famous and historical figures in cinema, science, and photography. Marton is an amazing writer, as she makes the reader as if s/he are sitting right there with these men in the coffee houses. A page turner providing knowledge and enjoyment. Great book for book clubs too, considering the varying facets for discussion (e.g., religion, family, the Holocaust, the atomic bomb, war, Hungary, etc).
