My Reviews
Set in an alternate historical WWI and standing gender roles on their heads, this is a fascinating tale of bravery and innovation in a time of war.
I enjoyed the mystery genre turned a bit on its side by placing a female servant at the center of a Gilded Era mystery. Jane's insight to the wealthy and privileged set and the machinations they'll get up to was delightful. Glad to see Jane is back for more detecting!
This novel captures the essence of the awkward, practical young woman who must find herself in the midst of the drama of every other life she holds dear. Since I discovered it decades ago, it continues to resonate with every rereading.
Is it scandal? Or just gossip? Or a heady brew of both? When a gaggle of socialites in 1920s Paris and New York begin to stir up secrets and indiscretions, they discover the results may be far beyond their wildest dreams. Intriguing and fresh look at the costs of a raised eyebrow and loose lips.
A fascinating look at the lives of the betrayed daughters of classic literature's most diabolical dads! When Mary Jekyll discovers a sister named Diana Hyde, she embarks on a quest to find and liberate other women who have been created and abandoned by their famous fathers. Aided and abetted by Holmes and Watson, no less!
The book series for the bibliomaniac! Lots of fun with sly wit and literary allusions galore. Add in a driving plot and you've got a winner.
