Written by a young author, this book still can hold your attention and make you eager to find out where the plot will go next. It generated a good discussion in our book club, and we had never before read this type of book for our group.
This was a very interesting approach to describing a very difficult time in history. I really liked it being told from an unusual perspective.
Beautifully written story with characters that have real dimension. You are rooting for all of them to achieve their hopes and dreams almost as soon as they are introduced to the story.
This book has an interesting premise, but can be a depressing read. The symbolism can lead to interesting discussions, and the ending also allows speculation among the readers.
