A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael by Elisabeth Elliot
Life Changing, Inspiring, Adventurous
I really enjoyed this book. It contains a sympathetic yet clear-eyes view of a missionary pioneer, Amy Carmichael. Some of the most compelling material was her struggle between investing her life in evangelism or mother work, as she called it. Elisabeth Elliott is clear that Ammah had feet of clay, but her eyes were firmly fixed in Christ and eternal things.
