However, you still get a sense of doubt and perhaps a little sarcasm due to his lack of faith. However, he does describe some encounters with power and experiences that transcended ordinary living and he could not explain it in "agnostic" terms. For Christians, it is vilifying and empowering. For non-faithful people, it provides a launching point for faith searching to begin.
