My Reviews

Boring, Inspiring, Slow
A women's story of how she traveled to three different countries to renew her innerself.

Every women should read this book. It makes you feel good about being a women. It is a refreshing story and Elizabeth's writing makes you feel like you are alongside of her the whole way.

Inspiring, Fun, Brilliant
One man's journey to believing in God.

I thought this book was incredibly boring. It is composed of short essay's. I felt that it never resolved. I kept waiting for the Ah-ha moment, but there never was one.

Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

Romantic, Interesting, Beautiful
A timeless love story.

I loved this book! I have read it twice because it is so intriguing. The characters were well represented.

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

Dramatic, Insightful, Interesting
A young girl is murdered and watches her family as a ghost come to terms with her absence.

The Lovely Bones was a fun and easy read. It was very intriguing...until towards the end. There were many unanswered questions and too unbelievable.

Slow, Beautiful, Unconvincing
Story of a 16 year old boy who runs away from home to work on a ranch in Texas

This book was very boring. The author did not build the characters throughout the book. Nothing resolved at the end of the story. I'm disappointed I spent money on this book.

3rd Degree by James Patterson, Andrew Gross

No brainer reading crime novel.

While this book may be fast paced and an easy read, it does not provoke any thoughtful discussion. Our book club barely had anything to say about it other than they enjoyed reading it. I would read it if you want to pass time on a plane flight or in between other book club reads.

Interesting, Dramatic, Informative
The rise and fall of Anne Boleyn

Our book club had the best discussion about this book. There were so many characters and relationships to talk about. It's a great story.

The Thirteenth Tale: A Novel by Diane Setterfield

Dramatic, Interesting, Dark
A story of an author's life and the truth that comes out of it.

I loved this book because it was so facinating. The best book I've read in a long time. It promoted some great conversation at our book club. Like a beautiful painting that you don't want to end.
