We all find the main characters annoying
Very much at odd with it. The struggle of race and status is a bit high and hit too close to home
It is very interesting that life can change ppl and their being of who they meet along the way
I find it enlightening and entertaining. Much of it has to do with the fact that the era of Stalin is brutal. For many of the royalty families and the people. It’s sad to know that the lifeline of Tsar Nicholas and his families ended in such tragic ways and the people that lives in such a high class society have to be put to nothing is sad, heartbreaking and devastating lost. The beautiful art works, art in fine dinning, in dress code and proper etiquette is all washed away in one breath is just so haunting. I am all for class and royalty when it shows the proper way of life. The main character shows how free spirits and mind can never be trapped and strapped down. I enjoyed this book very much. DO NOT WATCH THE SHOW. It’s a poor portrayal of this book
