The Turn of the Screw - Literary Touchstone Classic by Henry James

this book could have been used as a form of torture

I so hoped to enjoy this book but alas, it was not meant to be. The writing style was very difficult and the overall effect was to make me feel dumb! The story line was not scary (as billed) and the ending made me look to see who tore the rest of the pages out of my book!

The only good thing I can say about the book is that a) at least I read a "classic" and b) I can check it off the list!

Nice story with a twist!

This book made me yearn for a simpler time...until the ending when I realized no time is ever simple!
