My Reviews
Uplifting in that we are not bound by our upbringing, we mature and make our own choices regardless of the modeling of our childhood.
Serial killer set in late 1800's. Interesting historic details regarding life during the time period.
Interesting characters.
Kept me interested throughout as well as looking forward to next development. I was aware of some of the facts, but the telling of the story brings such additional depth and knowledge. Hedy Lamarr was an amazing woman, may she RIP.
Very well written. Kept me wondering.
I enjoyed Fairy Tales immensely. Much the same 'flavor' as Gregory Maguire's books, yet true to itself. I love myths, magic and fairy tales. Throw-in selfless compassion, love for a dog and current times - a remarkable work.
Related to many aspects of the main character and her journey. I hope Eleanor and Raymond find their way to each other and live happily ever after. And if not, may their friendship last a lifetime.
I enjoyed the book from the very beginning.
Where we are born and to whom determines so much. A lot of no-so-pretty life, obstacles, choices, chances and the vast difference between individuals. A true life story for many.
Enjoyed the format and style. Easy read that kept my interest and desire to know 'what next'.
Many references to the times, the stereotypes and differences due to wealth.
I enjoyed how it was written and the exploration of human intetaction.
Fun, enjoyable, easy-read.
Love history, including the hidden ugly. So much reality is not talked about. I hope to discover more and learn.
I enjoyed the different perspectives of old and new uncomfortable issues, as well as the love story of two young people.
I liked the numerous chapters/segments, I found it an easy read. I felt Dr. Fox's situation tug at my heart. Enjoyed the twists and the unraveling of the truths.
I enjoyed from the beginning. The human relationships were superbly described, and I learned a great about a subject I didn't realize touched so many people far more than just losing their homes and livelihoods due to no fault of their own.
Original concept for horror story. A little unnerving - the extent of progress
