My Reviews
Lends itself very well to book club discussions
Everyone in our book club loved this one!
I thought this book was very slow and there were so many characters that I had a hard time keeping track of who was who
Our book club really enjoyed this book!
I couldn't put this book down. It is some of the most poignant and moving writing I have read in a long time!
This may be my all time favorite book. It is beautifully written and although it is 900 pages, I couldn't put it down and read it in a weekend. The characters stayed with long after the book was over and I couldn't wait to get the sequels.
I really enjoyed this book, I couldn't put it down! The book moves between modern day Washington and 1930s Lenningrad. It is a love story, a story of triumph and heartbreak, and a story of family. There is a little something for everyone.
I thought the beginning and ending were really slow. It took almost 1/3 of the book to get me interested. The middle section was good, but then it got boring again at the end.
I did not expect to like this book but I absolutely loved it! I had to go out and get the second and third books right away.
I usually like memoirs so I expected to like this book. I couldn't get into it. It started slow and never picked up. I thought the story was dull and I would not recommend it.
I loved this book, I couldn't put it down!
