Who killed the chicken? Why did Valerie drag Richard along to begin with if she’s such a skilled bounty hunter? What happens with Richard and Clare’s marriage? Why was the bounty amount always changing? With such poor customer service, what happens with Richard’s B&B? I have so many questions about everything.

Lots of unanswered questions, plot holes, and general confusion earns this book 2 stars. Also, the French language in the book was super annoying to me since I don’t speak any and couldn’t be bothered to look up words and phrases every time I came across them. I would’ve DNF’d this if it wasn’t a book club read, but alas…
