Mr. Moore attended our meeting. A fantastic author event. He provided further history and insight to the story and happily answered questions. As for the book discussion, topics focused on parental relationships, how you define yourself as a success, etc. Good read, good discussion. I'm new to this site, so I'm not sure why my favorable review is only one star??
Good read. Horrify act and possibly even more horrifying responses from the prison system, family of the murderers, etc. Sad that it's something you expect to hear in the news today, not so much 40 years ago.
Thought it was a very slow read. I was really more interested in the "historical" sections and they were a little fragemented and didn't follow a timeline, which got confusing. The "current" day portion of the book was dry, dry, dry reading. Wanted a good witchy book for Halloween, this one read a bit like a disseration....disappointed. Sorry!
liked it...little disappointed, the summary I had read led me to believe it was based more on an actual historical fact that it really was, but a good book
