My Reviews
This was a very enjoyable book to read. The characters take you though a wide range of emotions, up until the very end.
You really get a feeling for this period piece. You get a different look at another government program to covert heathen indians and get rid of unruly women. I really do not explain this book very well, but my entire book club loves this book.
This book was an interesting read. I enjoyed it myself, but I'm not sure I would suggest this for our book club.
I feel this book should be read by everyone. Gives you prospective into that region. Mr. Mortenson continues to do great this in this area.
I just finished reading this wonderful book, I will certainly recommend it to my book club. This book made me want to do more research on this place and time and these wonderful people who faced so many obstacles.
I loved this book. I think it speaks volumes about the human spirit and what we can accomplish with the right inspiration. How friends can help and guide us through all the times of our lives. Will recommend this book to my book club.
I had a difficult time at the start of the book, but once I was really into Peace Like a River, I enjoyed the book extremely.
All the ladies in my book club loved the book and to some it was one of the best we have read so far in shady ladies.
Not one of my favorite books. I didn't believe she writes as well as Jodi
A wonderful read. This is a book everyone can enjoy, but is great for people with a love of horses.
Another very good book by Dan Brown. I enjoyed this book as much as Angels and Demons, which is my favorite Brown book.
This was a great book to start the new year with.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Some parts are hard to take, but life can be worth the struggles.
Excellent book. A very easy read. The characters and the book are both very enjoyable. It's a book just to enjoy not put alot of thought into, just relax and let your mind take you away for a short period of time.
The points of view from several different characters and their dealings with lace. Set in France during the time of Kings and Queens in which lace was forbidden by the King. Which makes it all the more wanted.
Loved this book, the whole history of the orphan train is something I am now very interested in because of this book. It was very well written and character are very well developed
