My Reviews
I loved her writing and character development. Everything felt real. We all loved this book.
A little light weight. With a little effort could have been so much more. Not much controversy in the book so we all pretty much thought the same thing.
We all thought this was a great book. It give insight into a national problem. Sadly one without much proven help. He is very honest in portraying himself and his feelings and foibles. He researches different programs and facilities. Unfortunately what works for one doesn't necessarily work for others. It is a series of steps. This information is helpful to others in the same boat. You are not alone. Al-Anon's motto - You didn't cause it; you can't control; you can't cure it - is great advice, if your heart and head can get behind it.
Read this book and the son's TWEAK for how drugs affect family and friends.
Not one of her better novels. Not much to discuss. If you want to discuss a Sandra Dallas book, do Persian Pickle Club, Buster Midnight's cafe, Tallgrass, anything but this one!!
This was a Hemimgway book. We anticipated it being great. It was horrible. We thought the writing childish; the characters undeveloped; the circumstances and results unbelievable. Just a few examples - Catherine is pregnant but will not get married until she is thin again; Henry somehow while in a war keeps getting checks from home no matter where he is.
