The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by Erik Larson
Informative, Interesting, Dark
Interesting since factualSome parts drag (i.e., architect portions), but the serial killer portion is great and made it more interesting since this is a true story and happened in Chicago where I am from.
How Starbucks Saved My Life: A Son of Privilege Learns to Live Like Everyone Else by Michael Gates Gill
Inspiring, Optimistic, Fun
Quick read - feel good story. The book was a quick read and kept my interest, but there are many unanswered questions that leave you wondering. The book is a huge advertisement for Starbucks. Not great, but not horrible either. Just middle of the road.
