Loved it, it started out a bit slow, but as the story went on, it became a real page turner for me
This book is one of Nicholas Sparks' best, I think. I was a bit optimistic at first, but ended up not being able to put the book down half way through, I finished the 2nd half in one night.
I was totally consumed by this book, I finished it days ago and still cannot stop thinking about it. It was well written and the story was one that you could not stop reading about. Beautiful book.
I really liked the book as it told me a lot about the events arising among the Japanese Americans at the time of the war. It was a very well written book.
Wonderful book.
Someone needs to make a movie out of this book.
I was hesitant to get this book because I am not typically interested in war novels, but I am so glad I did. Very well written, and so inspiring. Everyone must read this book at least once.
Maybe it's because I went out on a limb to read the type of book I don't normally read, but I was not impressed. Although the author did a fantastic job with the writing, my amusement was decreased by the middle of the book. I thought the turn of events in the book lost my interest, the characters were almost unbearable to read about and I hated the end.
It was a slow read, but kept me interested. I did grow to love the character.
