My Reviews
While parts of this book were fun to read, the overall plotline was a bit stupid. The aspect about twins and ghosts was drastically overexaggerated, and I found the book's characters to be a bit flat. I wouldn't recommend this book.
Captivating, endearing, sad, and happy. The characters are loveable, the plot is unpredictable, the ending is perfect, and it's told from the point of view of an old man in a nursing home. All the components of a great book! =] I couldn't put this book down -- and I'm a picky reader.
Beautifully, beautifully written. A little slow-moving at times, but a great plot. So true about how dishonesty destroys families, and the horrors of how people with down-syndrome were treated just a few decades ago.
Deep, horrific, and touching -- teeming with truth. I LOVE this book.
This book was desperately sad and powerfully realistic. Khaled Hosseini is an extremely talented author, and I recommend the book to everyone.
