My Reviews
This book is a realistic view on relationships within the family. The author does not try to sugar coat any of the situations and exposes the character's strengths, weaknesses and fears.
Its a very good book to discuss with a other women because we identified with the relationships and it seems that many had a "Nora"; "Courtney"; or "Raine" in their families. Also, important to note, is the relationship each character had with the mother.
I felt our book club had a lot of touching moments to share within our own lives and I felt it brought us closer.
As I was reading this book, I thought I had made a mistake and got the wrong "Matrimony" book. I was sincerly hoping there was another book with the same title but different author. I found out, there was no mistake. I reluctantly read the rest of the book. The only character I found somewhat interesting was Professor Chesterfield.
