My Reviews
A book full of interesting places and people. A read full of suspense and you'll find yourself having a hard time leaving it!. I only gave it 4 stars because it was a little hard to get into but once i did i couldn't put it down!! great read for discussion.
Can't put it down
You will instantly find love for all of the characters. You are immediately grounded from day 1 of reading this book. Suddenly all of your problems seem silly compared to these people. Amazing read. Something that I have already recommended to soo many people, thank you Khaled.
This book was a very easy read, I would say a little too predictable love story. You kinda already knew how the love story was going to progress when you first met the characters. A little too much dialogue and sap for me, but hey that's Spark's style so I can't bash it.
While I finished the book (it took me a long time) most of the club didn't. This was a book with great details and an amazing story line. It was for me hard to read and sometimes I was thrown off track easily but it was enjoyable none the less. I found the characters to be non relatable but definitely interesting. Author has a great way of leading to suspense- with his tone of writing you just get this feel that something unexpected is going to happen. I loved the book, I just would recommend it for solo reading
I finished this book in literally 3 hours or so of reading.. i just couldn't put it down. If Randy's true appreciation of life doesn't inspire you, there is something wrong. He is truly an amazing person who makes you step back and realize exactly how precious life is. I would recommend this short read to anyone I come across. Especially those who take life for granted. Simply an amazing story. Rest in Peace Randy Pausch.
An amazing read for all ages. Great story filled with angst, adventure and love. I would recommend this novel to a book club of any age!
Maybe I'm not a fan of sci fi novels which is what I would qualify this as, but I had a very hard time reading this as did the rest of the group. I ended up finishing it on my own, and enjoyed the just of the book, I just wouldn't recommend it for a group read.
Just a lot of fluff, characters were not that interesting, story line was not very eventful.
Really great read, I was a little worried with the title and the cover of the book... but overall it was a really great book!
I thought that this book was interesting, not my typical read. Somewhat historical fiction, very romantic and artistic.
I thought this book had a lot of potential but it was just poorly written. The ending was odd, and only the beginning of the book flowed correctly. It was a nice idea but the plot was just generally boring and off.
I became addicted to this book in the first 5 pages. The idea of writing the story in the dog's perspective was brilliant there is no better way it could have been written. It was romantic, funny and an awe-inspiring outlook on life. I loved it and passed it on to my Mom all within 24 hours.
You won't want to put this down!
Overall I enjoyed this book very much. Having studied school shootings and followed the incidence in the past, I felt that this book did a good job of setting the facts straight and elaborating on potential causes. I feel as though the book was a little bit too drawn out, I felt like the author started to repeat himself and our group found it hard to keep track of all of the killer's friend's names; which made it harder to pay attention to the chapters on them.
Myself and my group were in love with this book! It's so many things, it was hard to describe in just three words. I thought it was hilarious, fun, insightful, inspiring, even spiritual. It's perfect for a recent divorcee or even just someone who's having trouble finding themselves. The author is so easy to relate to and you feel as though you are traveling with her the whole time. I highly recommend this book!
This is a great novel. The story (whether or not it is true is not the issue) is one of great success and hardships. It is very interesting and depressing at the same time. Even thought its credibility is a question it is still a wonderful read either way.
This book was by far one of my favorite novels to date. Everything from the plot, the style of writing to the ending was amazing. I loved all of the characters, and felt like as soon as you grew comfortable with the plot there was a twist. I would highly recommend to anyone.
