The book was easy to read and a little tedious and wordy at times. The story was interesting and everyone in our book club could relate to some aspects of the story, even those that don't particularly care for cats.

I enjoyed the content of the book, but I thought the style of writing did not flow. The book was very interesting and the characters were touching.

The author provided several bits of Olive's life and the influence she had on others. These snippets of her life gave a good perspective on the different aspects of her personality and what drew different people to her at different times.
