My Reviews
I thought it was a light-hearted, easy read. It gives insight as to how people kept their sanity during a troubling time in history. The main character is a woman before her time who has a great sense of humor. The cast of characters and how they interact is wonderful. I would say it takes about 20 pages to get used to the letter-writing style of the book.
I thought the book was well written. It was a new and interesting genre. It was a quick, enjoyable read.
I thought this book was heartbreaking. It is a great book for discussion. The book was a quick, easy read, but delved into the gray areas of right and wrong, the strength of a mother's love, and a woman's desperation to have a baby.
Excellent book! Great discussion for book clubs.
