Everyone enjoyed this book for the most part, some enjoyed it more than others. We all agreed it was a really nice fairy tale and a nice simple read. However we thought that for a book club choice it didn't have the depth or big issues or controversy that would make for the conversations we expected.

But we did have some good talks, especially about the fact that the author states there is a big parallel to the biblical story of Jacob, we spent the most time trying to find parallels but couldn't find any...

But a really nice book

This book brought up lots of topics for the club to discuss and we had many opinions. It was one of my favorites for the discussions and varying opinions it brought up. Some liked the style, some didn't. Some liked the narrator, some didn't (I didn't). Some liked hannah, others did not. It was great
