My Reviews
Although I was personally interested about the private and public life of the famously brilliant architect, Frank Lloyd Wright I was disappointed to learn of his tremendously selfish actions in his private life and I was also dismayed at the inconsiderate way he treated people that he considered beneath him. This was not a tragic love story but a sad tale of two people who were merely seeking self gratification while disregarding the effect of their liaison on their families.
I really appreciated learning what it was actually like living thru the aftemath of the depression. It was a very colorful story following the adventures of Little Porter and his extended family.
I enjoyed reading some of this book, however at times the story line was confusing and verbose.
An extremely interesting epic story
This book has an extremely interesting viewpoint written by people who experienced occupation by the Nazi's during the 2nd World War.
I thought that this book was a well written insight into the culture and customs of Vietnamese people.
I'm truly amazed at being able to finish this book. The story line of the book is extremely confusing and all over the place.
This book may have been better if it was condensed to about 250 pages.
I truly enjoyed this book which is the sequel to Cafe Con Leche by Jack Fernandez. It's about the deversified community that was thriving in Ybor City, Florida and some of it's fictional residents. It portrays life in the early 1960's.
I really didn't enjoy this book. It's a convaluted tale of confusing characters. It was a drudgery to finish.
This book was difficult to finish. I found the story line difficult to follow. Some of the characters in this book have the same or very similar names which makes the epic tale confusing.
