My Reviews
Realistic look at a breast cancer diagnosis from a young woman feeling invincible at the age of 37. It is well written and quite funny. Our book club cried and laughed throughout the book. And we all had flashbacks to our teenage mishaps.
Good beach read. Everyone liked it the fun of it.
Very informative of the French Revolution from a female's (Marie's) point of few. Same social issues exist today as back then. The old adage "history repeats itself" is so true. Very well written. One member brought a vocabulary list of challenging words to our meeting for review. Went well with wine.
unrealistic and drove my crazy for the first 60 pages until my brain adjusted to the frantic bouncing around. Never liked the characters. Only redeeming quality was the advanced vocabulary.
A well written but difficult to read book due to the slavery/bondage content. But, our book club had the best discussion session ever. Worth the read for the insightful conversations. This book had you thinking weeks after you finished it.
This book reads like a "beach book" but has so many levels to it to keep it intriguing and thought provoking.
