My Reviews
I would highly recommend this book to all book clubs. I absolutely loved this book! I thought the author has a great sense of humor and I actually cried a few times while reading it.
I enjoyed this book, but, found myself wondering what she was talking about sometimes. She seems to have left some parts out of the book. Very sad during those times and really felt for her.
I enjoyed the book! Not sure I would suggest it for a book club meeting - more of a sitting by the pool book. The author has a sense of humor
The book was better than I thought it was going to be. But, I wouldn't recommend running out to buy it. I enjoyed the beginning of the book better than the end of the book.
I had a tough time with the first 100 pages and thought about giving it up. I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the second part of the book.
I would highly recommend this book to all book clubs. I admire what Greg Mortenson does by fighting the war with books and not bombs. I wish more people thought like him.
True story of a completely unexpected cold front which wreaked havoc for much of Minnesota, Nebraska and the Dakota territories in the late 19th century. Combines historical and scientific facts with gut wrenching stories of survival and sadness. Well written.
I really enjoyed this book. It drew me in right from the first sentence and I had a tough time putting it down
Definitely not your typical book club book but, it was a quick read and moved along. Not sure I believe some of the things that happened in the story.
A shocking, sad, and at times heart-warming memoir that I thoroughly enjoyed. A fantastic tale of the human spirit
Fascinating look into the mind of an autistic child -
Although I thought this book was long - could have been I was trying to read it quickly in time for our book club meeting. The writing is amazing!
I loved everything about this book, the way it was told by a five year old, the mother's charachter, the way the book ended
I would highly recommend reading it and if you read it in high school - read it again
I can no longer complain about my life after reading about Valentino's life and everything he had to go through just to survive
I absolutely loved the author's writing style. Extremely Poetic. I was a little surprised when I realized the author was a male.
I highly recommend this book! Everyone in our book club LOVED it!! It grabs you on the first page and doesn\\\'t let you go until the very end! It is a quick read
