My Reviews
This is a fun and easy read. They style of writing is captivating and interesting - a great book for book clubs to discuss.
A very different perspective for most people. Lots of points to discuss - eye opening and a sad documentary of our past as a society.
Our book group enjoyed reading The Lace Reader. It was an easy read and kept you interested right to the end. Most of our book group felt the ending left lots of questions. The ending almost makes you want to go back and re-read the book again.
Like all of Jodi Picoults books this one makes you think of the possibilities for an ending that we don't readily think about - I love the way Jodi writes and captivates the reader
Captivating - hard to put this book down - you will be thinking about it long after you finish reading. The characters grab you and don't let you go - great writing!
This is an unforgetable read - it will keep you interested from the very beginning to the end. The characters seem real and the writing is descriptive and captivating.
This book will keep your interest throughout. It has romance and history as well as being heartfelt - you feel the pain and the joy of the characters.
A wonderful look at the world of science that is easy to read and keeps you interested. The mix of Henrietta's story and the description of human cell structure is captivating and informative. This book is an unforgetable read.
Everyone young and old should have to read this book. We forget the sacrifices some gave for our country. This book tells a story of one man but brings to life the story of World War II and what was endured by so many. The life story of this one person brought to life the era of World War II for me like no history lesson ever could. This book is brilliant.
Highly recommend.
Interesting for Kennedy era generation.
