My Reviews
It was funny at times, it was shocking at times,
rereading clues in the book which lead to a great book club discussion. We all had a lot to say about the book.
In our book club, some of us liked it,and others were in shock! But we all agreed, we had a great time discussing this book.
This is truly a great book for any book club. You'll have a good time discussing this one.
Loved It!!!
Regardless of age or gender, everyone should take the time to read Anne Frank at least one time in their lives. This book must never be forgotten!!!
A nice feel-good book! An easy read and very descriptive;I would have loved to walk down Blossom Street during Christmas time.
Scrooge had his spirits to help him reach his redemption. Well, Caroline Dixon had Astrid and Cyril, two people from her childhood past. A fun heartwarming story (thru e-mails), her life and the lives of others around her began to change and their hearts healed!!
What A Book!!! A Classic that should be read year after year!!!
One of Dickens's Best!!!
Its a lovely book full of Irish traditions,small-town living, and some very interesting characters. When Kate Robinson and the Ladies of the Lace-Making Society began making lace together. They brought hope and healing to themselves, their families, and their town. And made the cutest lacy underwear I ever read about!!
A Romeo and Juliet-type of story:feuding mothers,Young lovers, and Christmas Baskets. It was full of misunderstandings, forgiveness and humor(lots of laughs). Loved It!!!
Our book club loved it!!!!
One of the best books on fasting I ever read!!!
Some of the gods were behaving pretty badly. I still free sorry for Kate (a mortal, who was turned into a tree and then later chopped down, OUCH!!). Of the gods, I liked Artemis and Hermes. And of the humans of the book - I liked Alice ( Artemis' cleaner) and Neil (the Hero). My favorite part of the story is when Artemis and Neil went to the Underworld (to try to save the world and find Alice). That's when the story picked up and I was able to finish it. But would I recommend this book to my friends or pick it for a book club? NO!! But I did have the urge to play "SCRABBLE" :)
Dracula must be in love! He waited centuries to be with his beloved. For he would not be who he is today, if not for her. Waiting for the slightest hint of her needing him. But yet once more, he\'ll have to wait! He\'ll always wait! Wait for his dearest MINA!!!
Most of us, were pleasantly surprise that we liked the book. We all agreed that we enjoyed the way the author would " turn a phrase ".
Everyone had something to say about the characters and the choices they made. Great Book Discussion!! (3.5 stars)
It was written beautifully!! Good book club discussion!
